
Classic Homemade Hamburger
Juicy and flavorful homemade hamburgers that are easy to prepare and perfect for grilling or stovetop cooking.
Equipment
- 1 Grill or Skillet
- 1 Mixing bowl
- 1 Spatula
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder optional
- 4 hamburger buns toasted optional
- 4 slices cheddar cheese optional
- 4 leaves lettuce optional
- 1 tomato sliced
- 1 onion sliced
- 4 tsp ketchup/mayo/mustard to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
- Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook patties for about 4–5 minutes per side, until fully cooked (internal temp: 160°F).
- Add cheese slices during the last minute of cooking if using.
- Toast buns lightly on the grill or pan.
- Assemble burgers with buns, patties, and desired toppings.
- Serve warm with fries or a side salad.
Notes
- You can substitute beef with ground turkey or a plant-based patty.
- Add pickles, bacon, or avocado for extra flavor.
