Chicken Tacos
A flavorful and easy-to-make chicken taco recipe, perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.
Equipment
- 1 Skillet or frying pan
- 1 Knife
- 1 Cutting board
- 1 Grill pan or air fryer optional
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast diced
- 1 tbspb olive oil for cooking
- 1 tbsp for cooking
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- to taste salt & pepper
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes optional
- 1/4 cup chopped onions optional
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce optional
- 1/4 cup shredded cheese optional
- 1/4 cup sour cream optional
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced chicken and cook until browned (about 5–7 minutes).
- Sprinkle in spices (chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt & pepper).
- Stir and cook until chicken is cooked through (internal temp: 165°F)
- Warm tortillas in a dry pan or microwave.
- Fill tortillas with chicken and your favorite toppings.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- You can substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp for variety.
- Great served with lime wedges or guacamole on the side.
